Cupressus Golden – Goldcrest Cypress Tree
The lemon cypress tree also called Goldcrest. Its lovely pyramidal form and vibrant chartreuse foliage are a terrific decorative accent indoors. It can grow up to 2-3m tall, is naturally upright, and has soft, bright golden-green foliage. Most varieties rub off a fresh lemon scent when foliage is crushed or cut. It’s also said that it helps to deter biting insects from that area of your garden. This plant is very easy to manage as a houseplant.
Planting & Care
SunLight: Gold Crest in general are sun-loving species. Place them in full sun or partial shade. To get the brightest golden-green color it is best to place your plant in full sun.
Soil: Use a Fertile, Moist, Deep well-drained Soil,
Watering: Water the cypress well and do not allow it to completely dry out.
Fertilizer: Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during active growth.
Temperature: Average home temperature of 50° to 80°F (10° to 27°C) is comfortable,
Pruning: Can be pruned to control height and spread or if shapes are required.
