Planting & Care
Sunlight: Plant Calathea in an area of light shade or bright, indirect, or filtered sunlight.
Soil: The soil in the area should be porous, loamy soil. It should remain moist
Watering: Use distilled water or water that has been purified in some way to water Calathea plants. Calathea like to have moist soil or planting substances, but not soggy.
Temperature: Temperatures between 60°F and 70°F (16°C – 21°C). Avoid areas where temperatures could drop below 50°F (10°C).
Fertilizer: During the growing season, mix an application of an organic, liquid houseplant fertilizer at half the recommended strength, and apply it every two weeks.
Pruning: Prune to maintain size and remove dead foliage
