Ployalthia longifolia – Ashoka Tree
The slim and lovely Ashoka tree shoots straight into the air with a narrow form of drooping branches of layered, feathery leaves. Inconspicuous flowers appear in late spring and early summer on the tropical evergreen and are followed by inedible fruit that ripens to a purple-black color. Super tall and thin, a single Mast tree can reach 30 to 45 feet high and 8 to 10 feet wide
Planting & Care
Sunlight: For the best growth Full sun to partial shade.
Soil: polyalthia longifolia trees enjoy a well-drained, general potting mix easily found at your local box store.
Water: Regular irrigation is best but makes sure the planting area is well-drained.
Fertilizer: fertilize sparingly ten inches away from the base, tri-annually with a slow-time released product.
Temperature: Keep temperatures 20 to 35 degrees C
Pruning: No pruning required much
