There are many varieties of asparagus ferns, belongs to the family Liliaceae and is a relative of lilies, but this one Asparagus ‘Sprengeri’, It has fine, soft needles on long stems. Mature plants will bloom in summer with small, white-to-pale pink flowers
Planting & Care
SunLight: plants that tolerate low light and won’t wither up in dry, indoor air.
Soil: prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil.
Water: Keep the soil evenly moist, watering about twice per week and reduce watering during the winter seasons
Fertilizer: fertilize to encourage the growth once a month with liquid or water-soluble all-purpose plant food diluted to 1/2 strength.
Temperature: Try to maintain a warm temperature of around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This plant will tolerate a minimum temperature of 50°F/10°C.
Pruning: Asparagus sprengeri have a tendency to become leggy, so pinch back strangling stems at any time to improve the growth.
