Orange trees are the member of Rutaceae family, also known as the Citrus aurantium. Valued for their fragrant white flowers in the spring, and providing shade and nutritious edible fruit in late fall and winter.

Planting & Care 

SunLight: They do best with at least 5 to 6 hours a day of direct sunlight.

Soil: Orange trees should be planted in a sunny and wind-protected area and need a soil pH of 6.0 to 7.5, which is slightly acidic to neutral range

Water: Newly planted trees need to be watered once or twice a week to keep the soil moist but not wet. Established trees need water every week or two, 

Fertilizer: feed once a week with a liquid citrus fertilizer.

Temperature:  extremely heat tolerant, and can survive fairly cold temperatures 

Pruning: Citrus trees need pruning only In the spring and summer, to remove dead branches and limbs.
