Mint is a is actually a genus of plants in the family Lamiaceae. It has a fruity, aromatic taste, as an edible herb it is non-toxic to humans. As well as kitchen companions, mints are used as garden accents, ground covers, air fresheners, and herbal medicines.
Planting & CareÂ
Light:Â Â Mint plants prefer partial shade. You can grow it in full sun if you water it frequently.
Watering:Â Mint plants like water, but they cannot withstand soggy soil and wet feet.
Fertilizer:Â Can give it an occasional dose of all-purpose water-soluble fertilizer or fish emulsion in every four to six weeks after that and throughout the growing season.
Temperature:Â With the indoor temperature of around 65-70 F. (18-21 C.) during the day and 55-60 F. (13-15 C.) at night.
Pruning:Â prune at the end of the year or end of the season, cut them to within an inch of the ground.
